Kitsch Kitchen

Regular Junk Shop Jewels readers will know that I finally managed to get hold of an item of vintage bed linen in a charity shop, admittedly it was only a pillowcase but it was a corker and at only 50p I was chuffed to bits
Well this week I put it to good use making a cushion cover for my rather unloved but much used kitchen step stool
And I still have a large off-cut left to put to some other use along with these gorgeous vintage sheet charm squares that I bought from my friend (and quilt maker extraordinaire) Mary's Etsy shop, I urge you to take a peek, if only for the fabric porn and quilt envy factors.
Look at all the gorgeous groovy patterns
Mary's always super lucky finding vintage sheets in charity shops and car boot sales, she's so lucky that she has far too much for her own stash so she's sharing the love and has kindly offered my lovely readers a huge 10% discount on all items in her Etsy shop but think fast as the offer expires at 8pm Saturday 7th July, just quote the code CTC0712 when you purchase.

Now I just need to get sewing!

  1. Such a pretty selection of vintage fabrics!
I like the pillow case looks fab as a cushion cover, great find!
    Magie x

  2. The pillow case cushion cover is lovely, and the patchwork fabrics completely gorgeous. I may start doing some again - the craft group I used to go to is supposed to be restarting with patchwork. And it's now to be run in my friend's tea and cake shop - perfect!

    1. Wow, the stuff dreams are made of, a craft group that's in your friend's tea and cake shop!!! Jealous!

  3. Love those retro fabrics- the cushion cover you made is beautiful!
I have just posted about the swap on my blog

I'm not sure my photos do your work justice so if you blog it at some point let me know I'll link back to you- Thanks for a great swap xx
