No Longer The New Kid On The Blog

Today is my one year blog-aversary and to celebrate 365 days of quality blogging I've decided to host my first give-away, just a little something to mark the occasion.
If you're a regular reader you'll know that I've virtually baked my way through the Hummingbird Bakery recipe books and blogged the results here so I thought that this would make an apt prize.
It's a Hummingbird Bakery Cupcakes And Muffins Kit

'Discover the magic of the Hummingbird Bakery
with this delicious collection of recipes for irresistible
cupcakes and muffins

The kit includes a book with 28 easy-to-follow recipes
from Tarek Malouf and his Hummingbird bakers
and 100 coloured paper cases for stylish baking'

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning this wonderful mediocre prize is leave a comment below with a suggested cupcake flavour, maybe a tried and tested favourite or (preferably) something off the wall and I'll pick a winner at random.

This competition is open to UK residents only and one winner will be selected after 8pm on Friday 5th August.

Good Luck!

  1. Happy 1 year blogversary! Great giveaway, as you know I need all the help i can get to make cakes in general so this would be ideal! As for a cupcake flavour well Im a bit partical to lemon meringue pie so a cupcake with this would be lovely and im sure has been done loads before. Scarlett x

  4. Congrats on your year of Blogging : ) I nearly had a catashrophe the other day with my cupcakes putting curry powder in instead of cinnamon luckily managed to get offending substance out but got me thinking what they would have tasted like perhaps with a sweet chutney or lime topping : )

  5. One whole year - well done, have you counted how many cakes you've made in that year? More than 365?
Not sure how much attention I've paid to your cake flavours, but how about lavender? Saw a recipe for lavender shortbread that appealed, it might be disgusting, can you let me know?

  7. What about a cupcake based on a twister ice lolly with pineable, lemon/lime and strawberry flavours incorporated and perhaps a cute little sugar twister on top? Would look gorgeous and summery!

  8. Happy 1st Birthday! Having just made some raspberry lemonade, I propose a raspberry and lemon cupcake - made with homemade lemon curd and plump juicy raspberries in the mix, yum!

or pink grapefruit juice flavour - nice and sour.

  10. Congratulations on your first year, I have been mightily impressed by your cakey endeavours and would like to know how you're not running your weight-watchers journey blog alongside this one! I know I would be.

Not sure any of my flavour suggestions would be particularly off the wall, I'm a big fan of chocolate and coffee, so something combining those would be good for me!

Great giveaway, I've been boring with the baking recently, could do with the inpiration.

  12. Happy blogaversary!
I'm not especially adventurous and I prefer plain flavours but anything with raspberries would be great!
